MFTS - "Music.For.The.Soul"

When we talk about great music groups in Ghana (SHS level), groups like Tinash Records,MFTS, Auditory Motion, DopeYard, A.G.E Music, KillVille, and many more are mentioned. HyperActive talks about MFTS, one of the greatest music groups now.

HyperActive met with one of the members of MFTS.
HyperActive (H.A): Yeah, boss! What is the meaning of MFTS?
MFTS: MFTS simply means MUSIC FOR THE SOUL.
H.A: Why the name?
MFTS: Uhm, well we needed a name that could express the kind of music we would like to put out and music for the soul did that perfectly.
H.A: Cool.... so how many tracks have you guys released soo far?
MFTS: Prolly 8 so far
H.A: Nice nice. HyperActive will like to know the number of rappers singed on this great music family.
MFTS: Currently, we have 5 rappers and 1 singer.
H.A: Where did MFTS start from? Apparently, it started from JHS. Is that true?
MFTS: We started it back in jhs/middle school. We were 4 guys who started it and we've been going hard ever since.
H.A: What about your members?
MFTS: Now we like 15,should I mention them all ?
H.A: Sure, you can mention some though.
MFTS: Uhm well, I (BenJ), BK Gh, Wriddle,A.T.O (Mr.In Control), Boy Era, Reginald Brimpong, Mofade, Shuntel, Effie, Boy Era and Derrick Danklu,
H.A: So which schools is MFTS based in?
MFTS: I would say Achimota School (Motown) because they have the most members. Like 8 or so.
H.A: Apart from Motown ?
MFTS: St. Peter's (Persco)
H.A: So what are your views on d beef between KillVille and Dope Yard
MFTS: Uhm actually I just see it as friendly competition.They are both talented crews and I guess they just decided to get some shit of they chest
H.A: Alright... So Wat is the future Of MFTS? Any collaborations or new tracks?
MFTS: We taking over African hip hop in general and putting Ghanaian hip hop on the map cos its really been underrated.
Right now we working on our mixtape which will have the whole team on it with a couple features but can't give out the name just yet.
H.A: Is MFTS an shs thing or it'll continue?
MFTS:  MFTS is a record label and a family, so its not ending in SHS or university, It's something we plan on doing forever.
H.A: And do you have a particular genre of music, or you're all round? And what/who is your inspiration as a group?

MFTS: We all round but we prefer to make music people can relate,we call it human music,not conscious or mainstream just in between and our inspiration comes from old school, hip hop, but any new school influence will be. TDE &slaughter house.
H.A: How will an individual join MFTS?
MFTS: Really we look out for people with rare gifts. It's not just about making words rhyme or giving ill pinch lines. That is what most niggas don't get, its about telling your story not lying in your lines.
H.A: I like the vim! Anything to say to your fans.
MFTS: Fans.wow.uhm just keep supporting MFTS because we won't disappoint and don't listen to all the bullshit going around about the team.
